Cheryl Whipple Morrison has beeb life long resident of West Point, Ga. She’s a successful graduate of LaGrange College and holds a Master’s degree from Columbus State University in Art Education. Cheryl taught in the Troup County School system for 30 years before retiring in 2011. Looking toward her retirement years, Cheryl opened an art studio named Studio on Third located in the building of Resurrect Antiques, in Valley Alabama. The studio specialized in paint parties and for student age, as well as adults.
Inside Resurrect Antiques, Cheryl combined her love of “junk” and art, as an operating vendor. The success with our Studio booths inside Resurrect has grown and sees a larger base of event attendees.
We are excited to not only have our Studio booths specializing in custom painted furniture, door hangers, antique and vintage home décor, but now we are opening a large space to have paint parties!
Cheryl has been married to her high school sweetheart Jamie Morrison for 39 years. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. The entire family helps in some way with The Studio’s success. In the past years Cheryl has done commissioned art for various businesses, churches, restaurants and private individuals. From painting murals, faux finishes, various painting and drawing works, the past years association with Resurrect Antiques is by far the most rewarding. Combining knowledge of art and design makes the “junk” business lots of fun!! Re creating, repurposing, recycling and reusing any material is a new adventure every day!
